Expo Stories
Broadcast from 40,000 feet above the ground.
Commissioned in 2018 as part of Expo 2020 Dubai’s global storytelling efforts, Expo Stories set out to spotlight the inspiring people and projects shaping a better future across the world. Created for in-flight viewing on Emirates Airlines, the series invited passengers to discover what countries and companies were preparing to bring to Expo, and why it mattered.
We travelled across continents to film the pilot episodes in Seychelles, Cuba, and Ghana - meeting remarkable individuals whose work is transforming their communities, from environmental pioneers to cultural custodians and visionary entrepreneurs. These were not just promotional stories, they were personal, powerful, and deeply human.
We led the project end-to-end: from content strategy and research to scripting, conducting interviews, and directing on-location shoots with local crews. We oversaw production across three vastly different cultural and logistical landscapes, ensuring each story was told with authenticity, clarity, and emotional impact. Post-production and stakeholder presentation were also part of our remit - delivering polished, broadcast-ready episodes that aligned with Expo’s global narrative.
Expo Stories is an example of the kind of content we love to create - storytelling with heart and purpose, built on trust, cross-cultural sensitivity, and an editorial eye. It’s proof that even at 40,000 feet, stories can connect people to something bigger: a shared vision for a better world.
